Does MP support Canon's HEIF file format? I'm pondering about Canon cameras https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/news ... heif-files It be useless to get future canon cameras if it is not a common file format.

After installing Xnview MP in Windows 10, XnView MP is not available or listed as one of the default choices for photo viewer default app. Would like to see this option available in Windows 10.

Finally got it to install after forcibly delete folder from properties on reboot.

I uninstalled v. 79 from windows 10 pro 64 bit. Then i installed v. 8 with admin control with the install .exe file, after going through the install screens, I receive an error message no. 5.
Any ideas? Bug?

when i click on the refresh button while in the tree directory or press f5 the view in the treeview pane does not update. there is no option or settings for manual or auto update of treeview. Also treeview does not have any sorting options; the refreshed view does not sort alpha numerically.

When adding a new folder in windows file manager and then refreshing the folder still does not show up...

when detail view and in files folder section, I've attempted to sort by date, only the files sort by date and the folders do not and remain alphabetized sort. Folders should also sort by date in their group similar to files.

in .53, after adding new folder (in Windows 7) in sub folder of my documents, attempt refresh F5, folders in the do not appear after refresh. Only after exit xnview mp and restart xnview mp.

Can songbird be used within xnview?

There probably have been requests to allow slideshow to add music. I recommend adding a presentation mode within slideshow that allows user to select audio folders or .m3u lists to play during slide presentation similar to how you can add music in iPhoto. This probably in addition to slideshow ...

Recommend stitching multiple photos in viewer into one large photo. Also suggest hdr merging photos (raw or jpg) with different exposures to create a HDR range.

update: xnview mp 0.53 version won't open in Win8

When running in Windows 8 pro 64bit there's an issue. The error message says: the application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more details.
