How to make the target of a shortcut file open in target dir

This problem requires some explanation.

I start with three directories, 1) index, 2) foo, and 3) bar.

Why are scrolling keys different in image and browser view?

In the browser view, page up and page down operate normally and scroll up and down the thumbnails.

Control page up and control page down take you to the next directory. This is a useful function. I don't remember seeing this anywhere else.

However, in the image view, page up and page down take ...

That might help once you got to XnView.

But the problem is if you have, say, 5,000 files in cache and you want to look at the jpgs larger than 25K or 50K to find good images, you can do that with file management software. You can sort or select for just those files and then copy and paste them to ...

Note to XnView Opera Users

Opera has released version 9.50 with a significant change that royally screws some XnView users.

Many XnView users select images from the Opera cache, copy them to a new directory, and then look at the directory thumbnails with XnView to see if there are any they need to review again or possibly ...

Users Could Have Bad category.db file without realizing it

I have had slow startups for a long time. I always have upgraded soon after each release.

I have used xnview for a while and went through several upgrades.

The problem had gotten worse and worse gradually over time.

I had assumed my 200MB cache file was behind it.

I installed 1 91 5. The slow ...

I completed the questionnaire but when I clicked the submit button I got the javascript message: "Le nombre est incorrect."

I could not determine what number the message referred to.

As a result, I could not submit the questionnaire.

What is story with multi-page .tif documents?

I have noticed strange things with multi-page tiff documents.

In another thread, I noted that if I set up a color palette on one page, the palette went away when I moved to another page.

I started with a multi page monchrome, black and white, tiff document that I had scanned.

I did image, convert to colors, 8 colors adaptive.

I then said edit colormap, and loaded a colormap that I had saved.

The image had the colors I wanted.

This sequence appears to be the equivalent of the ...

Any way to get a color palette with 2 color TIF document?

With a gif image, I can use image, colormap to get a palette with which I can change the colors in an image. This works the same in Irfan view as image, palette, edit palette.

I use 2 color, monochrome tif documents for incoming faxes and scans of text documents.

I use tif rather than pdf because ...

Loading Time Significantly Reduced with 1 91 1

I downloaded the zip package for 1 91 1.

I have never felt I understood the difference between the zip and exe package but decided to use the zip package this time.

I looked in control panel add/remove programs and saw that I had 1 91 installed.

I uninstalled it. The uninstall appeared to work ...

This feature doesn't work for me.

I have tried setting my default mail program to: Opera, Outlook Express, Outlook 98, Gemini, and Netscape Communicator 4.5.

Each time I tried a setting, I did a mailto: from the Windows run box, and each time the correct email program started.

But when I tried ...
