I can confirm the problem is solved in version 0.93.
Thanks a lot!

Re: "Update Catalog From Files" clears the photos categories
My metadata settings are attached. I cannot reproduce the main problem that some pics loose their category checkmark but still stay in the category. To reproduce the strange behaviour regarding tagging (not sure if this is a bug or a feature; however, a minor issue): - Select a file which has exif t...

Re: "Update Catalog From Files" clears the photos categories
Same problem here. Even without updating the files from the calalog or vice versa, the check-marks from the categories disappear over time. I have no clue why, and I cannot reproduce. Even more problems: - after playing around with the "update calalog from file" and the "update file from calalog", s...

Re: Color management problem
I think you still did not get what I meant. Lets start from scratch. 1) Open a tif file which has the "AdobeRGB 1998" color profile in XNViewMP (double klick on the file within the program). (ICC is enabled in the general settings.) 2) Rezize it to whatever size you want and safe it, use another nam...

Re: Color management problem
Ok, not "after" resizing. The resizing process (open file, change size, safe file) changes the color of jpg files with the color profile "AdobeRGB".
Batch resize works correctly.
Do you mean that this is rather a feature than a bug?

Re: Color management problem
Well, I leave it up to you which one looks good.
The problem is that XnView CHANGES the original color after resizing. Only with batch resizing the color stays the same.

Re: Color management problem
I already tried all settings in ICC, no luck.
Here one examples (re-sized with IrfanView and XnView).

Re: Extend ratings and colors options
Please, do NOT extend ratings, for several reasons.
- Compatibility to rating systems from other software
- grades from 1 to 5 is common and intuitive. From 1-10, it is definitely NOT. Other users might prefer 1-256. Thats simply crazy. Never change a running (working) system.

Re: Color management problem
Meanwhile, I found another thread dealing with this problem which is still unsolved: https://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=22748 For me as a photographer who ofter uses batch convert as well as single file size reduction in order to reduce file sizes for E-Mails or WhatsApp (sending prev...

Color management problem
Problem with jpg file with AdobeRGB color profile: When I change the size via the "batch convert" function, everything works fine - as long as the checkbox "preserve color profile" is checked. However, when I open this file in XNviewMP by double klicking, then choose "image/resize" and save it after...

Re: 0.90: Bugs in the slideshow
When I try to start a slideshow by double-klicking an sld file from outside XNviewMP, I get the attached screenshot: white background, no pictures, but arrow buttons for navigation. When starting the sld file from inside XNviewMP, the slideshow works, but no buttons appear.

Re: 0.90: Bugs in the slideshow
4. seems to be working (stop/continue slideshow with space). At least the following problems are still there in the current beta 0.91: 2. From inside of XnViewMP a slideshow can be startet by clicking on a previously stored .sld file. But when I try to start a slideshow directly from outside of XnVi...
