Looks like it is happening because of this change:

Changed:
* Resize value kept - http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=14554

XnView always shows last used values ignoring actual image ratio. If the ratio changed between the last image and the current one then the values are quite off and ...

This was a mistake / bug, every software has bugs.
What was a mistake? Auto contrast and auto levels existed before new copy/move were introduced. They had logical shortcuts.
Author didn't know about the existing "auto" shortcuts, me either, I have checked the Help, but those I have suggested ...

That is why the shortcuts should be configurable. :)

In fact, I don't mind so much that the shortcut will change as long as it is still there. But still, I definitely do not want to use an additional app for shortcuts and don't understand the logic of changing one feature in favor of another one ...

While we are at it, is it possible to add shortcuts for Levels, Sepia and Effects? It will save a lot of time switching between mouse and keyboard in my workflow.
This is another reason to reserve the current "quick copy/move" shortcuts, it would be impossible to find the free shortcuts for all ...

Thanks for the update.

Quick Copy-Move To (Ctrl+Alt+c/M) - http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=13321

Ctrl+Alt+c is (was) a shortcut for auto contrast. It doesn't work anymore. Can it be reverted back?
Really? Then I suggest to change the shortcut for Auto contrast.

Just look under ...

Must've missed it the first time around, sorry, but the first already exists as a hidden feature: http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?p=45579

Thanks foxyshadis. I should've found this earlier. This option is a bit strange. Can't find the difference between modes 0 and 1 and even 129 (the ...

Save More Settings

I wrote about it quite some time ago but didn't get a response.
http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?p=45853

Basically, what I would very appreciate to have is a permanent option not to confirm to save the file when I move to the next one. This option when checked stays that way only till the ...

Re: Lossless rotation and EXIF orientation

Right now lossless rotation doesn't change the orientation setting in the EXIF which prevents images to show right in other programs which read EXIF. Hence my suggestion is to reset the orientation in the EXIF if the image was rotated. And even better would be to have an action just to change the ...

Settings lifespan

Different settings have different lifespans. For example, the warning about the lossless JPG rotation in the browser appeared once and since I checked "don't bother me again" it indeed never appeared again. Another warning appeared when I moved to the next image after not saving the changes of the ...

There are a lot of inconsistent things in current version of XnView. For example "Brightness/Contrast..." menu has a shortcut, while "Saturation..." does not. Exotic things like "Gammasat" or "Conbright" are in the Image menu, while simple and important like "Sharpness" are hidden in the effects ...

Re: Effects input fields

I'm not sure that it is a bug, but why are effects input fields all greyed out? It is only possible to adjust the values using the slider and the arrows, while everywhere else the fields can be adjusted directly.
Yes, right not really a bug

Thanks for the reply.

Is there a chance it would be ...
