Re: File browser has different sorting of files than viewer, how to fix it?
Despite file has no extension, it is displayed correctly by Xnview, XNview should also browse such extension-less files properly sorted. It is not the case. Here you can try to reproduce on these files.

Re: 1.8.8: Batch convert tool not converting some files
If you don't use 'Keep original file when encoded...'?
Yes, I was not aware, sorry. I had that experimental option "Keep original file when encoded result is larger (experimental)" enabled/ticked on the Batch Convert / Output tab. After un-ticking it, then the source 6kB .webp has been replaced ...

Re: 1.8.8: Batch convert tool not converting some files
If you convert only webp/jpg, you have the same problem?
In my first post, I have mentioned that what also fails is "webp to jpg". So I am unsure why you are asking. I have just spent time to download mine linked .webp file and tried to "Batch convert", selecting jpg as output format and it did ...

File browser has different sorting of files than viewer, how to fix it?
Sometimes I need to change sorting of files in XNView MP (1.8.6 Linux .deb) file browser yet I prefer image viewer (when i doubleclick image to view in a full screen) to display always alphabetically. I continuously forget to switch back to alphabetical.
I think that I have been told it is not ...

Re: Missing webp since 1.8.0 on Linux Debian 11 (.deb)
Indeed. Thanks for very fast fixing!
Incredible file size savings: 3000x2000px (6Mp) 4MB file converted to a 300kB webp and I am unable to spot the difference in image quality! Very good.

Re: 1.5.5 - Auto-Preview in export does not show a preview
Yes, i confirm that this issue was fixed (1.6.0 Linux .deb).
After enabling "Automatic preview refresh" button in Export dialogue. It started generating preview automatically across all new XNView MP sessions.

Re: Alphabetical sorting is repeatedly broken/overriden by folder broser sorting
Same for me, and that is right, but only for current session. When you read my OP (original post, first one), I am criticizing that it modify default sorting for next sessions.xnview wrote: Mon Oct 09, 2023 7:53 ami've tried to sort by filesize, and open an image tab and sorting is correct (like browser)

Re: Alphabetical sorting is repeatedly broken/overriden by folder broser sorting
i can reproduce only when using 'sort by Type', but not Date or Filesize
I have just tried and for me the "last change date" (i am using non-english language) and "size" also changes the new new default viewing order across current and future sessions (wrong behavior IMO as described).
But even ...
