Make the Filelist Toolbar completely user-definable and organizable (instead of dispersed across two bars)
As of version 1.9.0, the Filelist Toolbar has become two bars: one situated above the file window, and another situated below it, which only appears after adding certain tools.

Re: Browser - filelist - add statusbar
Having discovered this post from my bug report that wasn't one (thanks user0 for the link), I'm glad to see the question of the Filelist Toolbar under discussion.
I think it would be fair to say that everyone uses the Filelist Toolbar in their own way.
The current bar has some elements that are ...

you have them now below thumbnails view
Ah... I see...
I suppose that change is explained by the post User0 linked to?
I'm very conscious of the fact that there's no way to satisfy everyone, but that means that Filelist toolbar tools are now on ... 2 different toolbars.

Re: "real size" and print size
100% is simple - it is 1 screen pixel mapped to 1 image pixel.
Print Size - is calculated from the document resolution and the monitor resolution as manually entered in Preferences.
Actual Size - is calculated from the document resolution and the monitor resolution as reported by the ...

Re: "real size" and print size
Add me as well.
Regardless of who else is using it, "real size" is indeed semantically unclear in this context of looking at images on a screen, and that issue is easily resolved with a simple change to "print size."

Add a "View selected images together" function
Often, users will want to see a group of images all at the same time.
XnView MP already has a "Compare" function that offers tools for comparing images, but it is limited to a maximum of four images at any one time.
The program also has a "Contact Sheet" function, which can be used to group as ...

A HUGE +1 for this.

See XnThusiast's post above.

Is there an "under the hood" way to change rating descriptors?
I have already expressed this subject as a suggestion for XnView MP.
Like in that link, I'll use "descriptor" here, instead of "label," to avoid confusion with the color label function
The star-based "Rating" function in XNView MP uses the following words to describe (hence "descriptors") what ...

Re: Decimal rounding (?) makes XnView MP's search function miss certain aspect ratios
This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.8.3 . Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
Bonsoir Pierre,
Just downloaded 1.8.3 and yesssss! , this appears to be working correctly now, at least for the 16:9 and 3:2 ratios that I tested.
Indeed the ratio search conditions now find ...
