The thing is, I wanted a program that I could use to manage images from the point of download, all the way to finding more efficient ways to peruse them afterwards.

I did a test where I made a new folder and put a single image in it. I then applied several tags to this image. Using a different program, I renamed the image. Then, I swapped back to XnView to check on it. The new image, with the new name, was instantly recognized in the folder contents, however ...

Update: XnView took forever to start up when I started it after my last post. I think it's because I was partially using it as a file browser to navigate between different image folders. I also moved a bunch of folders and files around with another program, which probably game the program a lot of ...
