It works if you register the dll "by hand":

I used the standalone installer
http://download2.xnview.com/XnShellEx64.exe

Click ignore (so it will complete the installation and leave the files) and register with: regsvr32 "c:\Program Files (x86)\2D\XnView\ShellEx\XnViewShellExt.dll"
Change ...

Same here, with the lastest version 1.91.5:



I tried from normal (x64) explorer, using explorer32 (from SysWOW64), installing on Program Files and on Program Files (x86)......

But no luck

Sorry for the long delay......

The problem is solved.........
I have never uninstall xnview since first intallation........looks like I like it
So any new version was installed over the old one.
But now I fully uninstall it and reinstall the lastest and everything works fine.

When installing, this are my options...

Options for JPG2 are this

But xnview does not write JPG2 with alpha ...

When you save 32bits picture, only 24bits is saved???? Yes, alpha is discarted.

Which JP2000 plugin do you use? I tried both: standard and LuraWave, but same results.

There is no option to preserve the alpha channel....
Also using "lossless compression" option, alpha is not saved and the new ...

That is what I thought but I have check it and there is no alpha option in Lura...

I am pretty sure that I used this option to backup image sequences with alpha....

jpeg2000 has no option to write alpha channel.
But if I remember correctly, this option was included in old xnview versions.
I am missing something or there is a new limitation to the format?
