All my photography is taken as raw/jpg pairs.

I'm using XnViewMP version 1.9.1 Linux.

When I browse to a folder with raw/jpg pairs, all that are displayed are the raw files.

Is this by design? Or have I mistoggled a setting?

Firstly, yes same thread.

Secondly, LR is no longer in the picture, tossed to the curb. And LR did not do everything I wanted.

I'll have a lookie see WRT IPTC templates. Makes a bit more sense with your descriptive, but as you say, without being able to use metadata in folder ...

The key here is the descriptive word "Test".

Is the only way to set this to manually edit it every time?

I'll take it by the lack of response that what I want to do isn't possible in XnView MP.

I've done a little spelunking around and I'm just not smart enough to figure this out.

Currently I use an old version of LightRoom to ingest files from my camera's sd card. I use Fuji exclusively BTW. I also shoot saving both jpg's and raf files.

It's a three step process at present ...

I'm working on incorporating xnViewMP into my workflow and have bumped into a problem, at least for me.

In the viewer the star rating can be set by ctrl-1, ctrl-2, ctrl; 3, ctrl 4 and ctrl 5.

I've got some serious dexterity issues with my left hand and find this combination ...

For whatever reason I've got an old Olympus RAF file that is displayed in the wrong orientation. Just the one.

Attempting to rotate it using the rotation arrow on the toolbar results in the error shown above.

Is there a setting that would allow XnViewMP to write to the rotation to the ...

Answering my own question if this should come up again.

It's in the xnview.ini file:

This works beautifully with the amazingly incalcitrant Capture One.

Now to dive into the rest of the wonderful capability of XnViewMP.

My goal is to eliminate my reliance on LightRoom v6.14 ...
