Re: 1.5 64 bit (earlier 1.4.5 64 bit) - Can't change shortcut
OK, there were no clear steps how to reproduce the bug. Sorry about that. I know 2 different methods now to reproduce it. I also found the way which made you think it works. It WORKS, when you press the new key on the actual, selected Thumbnail. When you are on the Browser Tab. However, if you doubl...

1.5 64 bit (earlier 1.4.5 64 bit) - Can't change shortcut
Tools - Settings - Interface - Shortcuts tab
I wanted to set the Fullscreen to F, instead of the default F11.
While the shortcut list shows F as the new custom shortcut for Fullscreen, it does not work. I still have to press F11 if I want to switch to fullscreen.

Suggestion: Tooltip should show Category name
Hi there, Categories window. When I mouseover a category, I get a Tooltip: "Click on Checkbox..." Currently the tooltip stays on for too long, covering a significant portion of the tree. I'd like an option in Settings to either switch this off, or show the actual Category name instead. I'm OK if the...

Re: Feature request: Vastly increased performance with large amount of data
Tests: Starting XnView by doubleclicing on a picture in Total Commander. The picture loads at once, I can browse 2-3 pictures with the mouse wheel. But then it stops and I have to wait for several seconds again. Do you have the settings to import keywords? If you start from a clean catalog (without...

Re: Feature request: Vastly increased performance with large amount of data
I tried it with V0.96.2 64bit, Windows version. I imported in 2950+ categories (keywords) and 115000+ rows of data from xml. No issues with the imports. Thanks, if you import the 2950+ categories, and only 10 rows of data? Tested on the same version. Imported the 2950+ categories. No issues with th...

Re: Feature request: Vastly increased performance with large amount of data
I can test it for you though, I have the categories txt and the files.xml archived. Is it possible to make a test? Reimport your categories tree, create a folder with some image files, and open one of these files in XnViewMP, do you have always the delay? I tried it with V0.96.2 64bit, Windows vers...

Re: Feature request: Vastly increased performance with large amount of data
When I had the 2900+ categories, doubleclicking on a picture in a folder in Total Commander loaded the low quality version of the picture, then I had to wait for several seconds before I could start moving between photos with PgUp/PgDn. Ok, i'll try to find where is the problem. Do you have a backu...

Re: Feature request: Vastly increased performance with large amount of data
Are you able to see a difference when you tag jpeg, png or other formats? It's the fact to clean the catalog that make it usable again? The keywords will be imported when you browse folder... I have a lot of different formats, but most pictures are .jpg. I didn't see any difference, but to be hones...

Re: Feature request: Vastly increased performance with large amount of data
The performance issue is definitely caused by the large amount of Categories (2900+ in my case). It impacts all the regular usage of the tool, for example if I just doubleclick in Total Commander on a regular, unkeyworded photo, the loading time of the photo is very slow and I have to wait several ...

Re: Feature request: Vastly increased performance with large amount of data
if you try again, do you have this slow tagging? What do you mean by "try again"? Whenever I work with the pictures I have this problem. It does not happen with every click, but often enough to be a problem. As you could see from my earlier video, it happened twice within a minute. So it happens re...

Re: Feature request: Vastly increased performance with large amount of data
I keyword a variety of media types. JPG, Gif, png, animated gif, webm, avi, mp4, swf, folders, etc. Mostly pictures, about 1-2% of the media is not picture/photo. you have slow tagging on each format? I can't really say, as most of the files are photos/pictures. In the last couple of months I keywo...
