I can confirm that this is now working.

I have noticed another issue though as part of my batch. See the following for further info:

I have just updated to the latest XNView & XNConvert and can confirm that the levels settings are not being saved when I load a preset.

XnView MP 0.98.0
XnConvert 1.90

Excellent. Is there a download available for this version yet?
The version on the main site is still at XnView MP 0.97.1.

This sounds promising. Will this also get added to XNConvert?

I did get it to show up in XnView by installing the 32bit version but I think my problem might now be the file size I am trying to work on being too big for that plugin.

The images I'm working on are 19200 x 9600 and ...

OK, I part found the issue. I had XnViewMP 64 bit installed but that plugin is for 32bit.

I installed the 32bit version of XnView and now the plugin shows up but it crashes XnView as soon as I try and run it.

Ohh well

I think, from memory, that at the 'Configure' stage you need to browse to the folder containing the plug-in and select the plug-in...

Edit: I'm not sure whether you select the folder, or the plug-in (or plug-ins) in it, whichever they should then show in the XnView MP 8BF filters list.

Yeah, as I mentioned in my previous post, I'm trying to install in XnViewMP.
No filter appears in XnView once I point to the folder where the plugin is located.

Many thanks for the tip for installing that plugin but unfortunately, it does not show up in XnView.

I have copied it to a folder on the root of my C: drive but it does not show up in XnView.

I have also tried putting it into my Photoshop plugins folder but Photoshop tells me that it is ...

Do you have a timeframe for when/if you are looking to add this B&W as an option?

don't know about anyone else but I would find this highly useful.

I'm thinking about the usage of XnConvert just for renaming - also for non-image files like TXT, DOC, PDF .... In some cases this can be helpful, when I want to clean up (rename) an entire project with same settings.

At the moment it reports "No image file!" - and does nothing.
Or: I just want to ...

Photoshop has a really useful Adjustment called 'Black & White' where it allows you to adjust the levels for each colour.
