Just by opening XnView and using it as picture viewer. I was told that I had nothing to do and that XnView would automatically assign categories.
I actually did nothing.

I recently started working with XnView MP 0.94.3. I have thousands of photos, 6.000 of them starred in Picasa. In Picasa I tagged all of these 6.000 with a word and did the same with pictures from albums. I was actually so happy to have found a solution to keep all the tags in another program ...

I have another category-issue.

I have 29 different pictures, once identically tagged in Picasa with "LL Exhibition".

XnView discovers after hours (!) 24 pictures and marks them with the category "LL Exhibition".
Taking a closer view I notice, that 9 of these 24 pictures appear twice, so ...
