Re: XnView MP does not display multi-image AVIF
Unfortunately, I did not find support for multi-page AVIF in version 1.9.0. The program shows this file (output.avif) as a single page (first page). And these files cannot be opened at all. Error when opening “failed to upload file”... At the same time these files open normally in some other viewers ...

Re: 1.8.6 - Swiping through video files with the mouse wheel stops working when you turn off the one option in the Setti
You can open video file in Viewer from Browser, but it will be excluded from Viewer filelist as soon as you navigate to another file.
Thanks, it makes more sense now. But why make separate filters for Browser and Viewer when you can make one common one? What does it do?
In my opinion, those who ...

Re: 1.8.6 - Swiping through video files with the mouse wheel stops working when you turn off the one option in the Setti
Browser and Viewer have 2 separate filelist fitlers
Thank you very much for the clarification. But then the question remains: why does turning off the Video option in the Viewer filter make it completely impossible to use the mouse wheel to switch between videos? I don't see logic in that, no ...

I have tabs disabled in the Settings. As for the video in the built-in file browser, it doesn't disappear after disabling this option, all videos are visible and can be viewed normally. The only ...

1.8.6 - Swiping through video files with the mouse wheel stops working when you turn off the one option in the Settings.
Does anyone know what this section in the Settings - “View - Filter” is responsible for?

The thing is, if I uncheck the “Video” option - I can't scroll through video files with the mouse wheel (next/prev). Is this a bug? Windows 11.

Re: 1.8.4 - The program does not see videos with extension *.ts
do you show all files? no exclude extensions?
I recently installed the new regular version 1.8.5 and this problem is not there. Apparently it was also a bug related to the transfer of settings (xnview.ini) from the old 1.8.3 portable version to the 1.8.4 portable version.
Unfortunately, as it ...

Re: 1.7.0: The scroll wheel key cannot switch files when previewing a video
with default settings it works and not with your .ini?
Yes. I use portable versions of the program and sometimes just transfer INIs from one version to another so I don't have to set everything up again. Most of the time this is successful, but occasionally, I realize something may stop working. I ...

Re: 1.7.0: The scroll wheel key cannot switch files when previewing a video
Thanks, everything works on 1.8.5. There were no changes on this issue, so the problem is most likely in my settings (INI). I will try to find out what is interfering.user0 wrote: Sat Feb 08, 2025 8:59 am try to reproduce with clean latest version (1.8.5) with default settings

1.8.4 - The program does not see videos with extension *.ts
Version 1.8.4 supports files with *.m2ts extension, but *.ts files are not seen or ignored - they are simply not displayed in the Browser. If I rename the file extension ts > m2ts, the file is immediately displayed in XnViewMP. This is a bit odd, as the *.ts extension is much more widely used than ...

Re: 1.7.0: The scroll wheel key cannot switch files when previewing a video
I can easily switch between image files (previous to next) with the mouse wheel in all modes. But I can't switch between video files that way. Going to the next or previous file for video works for me only in preview mode.

Re: 1.7.0: The scroll wheel key cannot switch files when previewing a video
I didn't understand your question. I meant that it would be good to make it possible to scroll through video files with the mouse wheel in all viewing modes, just like you can do with image files. It's good for short videos.

Re: 1.7.0: The scroll wheel key cannot switch files when previewing a video
This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.8.4 . Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Re: 1.8.2 - Error with the dialog box for saving changes in a file in Browser
you may try to locate the issue string by comparing old and new xnview.ini files OR
just delete [Browser] section (guess problem is there) and recreate settings manually later
Thanks, that's understandable. What about this thread - will the moderators delete it (I don't see an option to delete ...

try to reproduce with default settings - rename xnview.ini and run app
Thanks for the advice. I renamed my xnview.ini and ran 1.8.2. On default settings this error is not present. On the 1.8.1 portable everything also works fine. It turns out that the error occurs exactly when transferring ...
