EXIF-Date in output filename

Hello,

ist it possible to put an EXIF-Date into the filename?

I tested

Code: Select all

nconvert -o "Test___$EXIF:DateTaken[YYMMDD]" %1
but nconvert 6.80 does not set variables and makes the outputfile: "Test___YYMMDD.jpg"

Where ist the fault?

Re: Menu window is gone

Thank you for quick answer, Pierre. I have deleted the above mentioned lines. After starting XnView the Adjust Dialog was shown in its full size but only for one time. After closing and opening it again the dialog window had only its half height. After closing and opening it more times there was onl...

Menu window is gone

Hello

when I type Shift+E for menu window "Einstellen" (german version) there is only the title bar and nothing else.

I used this functions sometimes so that I am sure that it worked. What could be the reason that it does not work anymore?

I'm using XnView 2.20 with XP Prof SP3.

Re: PDF image with higher resolution

That is what I have been looking for since a couple of month :)
What are reasonable parameters for this option? I think 72 dpi is default but you cannot read a normal letter. 300 dpi makes XnView slow. I think 200dpi is a goog compromise.

huge PDF-Dokuments

Hello when I print more than one PNG to PDFCreator the result is a huge file. For example there are 2 PNGs with 4960x7015 pixel (600dpi) When I print them separately the results are approx. 110 kB. That's OK. When I mark both files and print them together the PDF file is 1,7 MB. When I do not close ...

Thank you.
Yes I had installed it.
I have uninstalled it and now XnView works fine in browser mode.

Viewer hangs/crashes by PDF

Hello I use the viewer from XnView since some weeks. Sometimes it hangs/crashes when I open the viewer (strg+B). I figured out that the viewer always hangs when there is a pdf-document in the active directory. In that case XnView is not responding and I must close it. When I move the pdf out of the ...

Risk by update?

Hello, I have been using nconvert for resize and lossless rotating since a few years. It works fine. Now I see a new version and I would like to know if it is better to keep the old version 4.79 from 2007, or is it better to update to the latest version form 2010. I don't use it often but I convert ...

Yeahh!!! Pierre, the new version rocks :-))) I have tested the same pictures as before. 20 pictures with 48 MB were rotated in 15 seconds. Then I have put the same pictures to nconvert again and it took only 3 seconds :-) Can I use this testversion for all my pictures or is it a non stable version o...

Hello Pierre Thanks for the testversion but it is not faster. I tested it with 20 pictures with 48 MB size. All pictures are from my digicam and must be rotated. It needs 15 seconds with your testversion. After pictures were rotated I put them to nconvert again and it took 15 seconds again although ...

aspect ratio is not kept with relative resizing

Hello There is a mysterious behaviour of XnView 1.91.1. If I resize JPGs with the dimensions 4112x5984x24 to 50% it makes the pictures 2400x3000 pixel. The checkbox "keep aspect ratio" is checked. Resizing of smaller pictures works well. If I enter one deminsion instead of the percentage field it wo...
