Here you can see two settings:
Settings > Interface > Mouse >
1. Mouse Wheel [Scroll up/down]
2. Mouse Wheel + CTRL [Scroll up/down]
Obviously, these two options should work in the same way, with the only difference being that scrolling while holding down CTRL is more convenient for someone ...

Okay, as far as I can tell, the problem is not with the program.
After running some tests in other programs, I found the same problem.
At least I saw the same problem in Pureref and another photo viewer. In the latter, though, the problem occurs only if you use the screen magnifier.

And is it a bug that the search with folder exclusion does not work when using catalog?
Example:
D:\Folder\
D:\Folder\Subfolder
D:\Folder\file.png
D:\Folder\Subfolder\file.jpg
I search : Pathname:Contein (Subfolder) With or without Use Catalog.
I get the result >
