Sadly while CTRL + F11 does remove the bar, it's not really what I want to achieve. I want to open images without it being full size and without having the border, but I guess its not possible.

I don't know whether that has been requested before, but a setting to hide the title bar globally ...

In XnView MP, you can use Ctrl-F11 :D

Use Escape to exit as Ctrl-F11 may change the window size.

If you are using XnView Classic, I don't see an equivalent option although there might possibly be one somewhere.
