I can't seem to reproduce it when setting Zoom out as 'bilinear' (and 'None' as stated earlier), but with every other option for Zoom out, this bug does happen often.

Bumping this -- the bug still occurs on XnView MP 1.8.3 as described in my last post with the 2000 frame limit.woot000 wrote: Fri Mar 03, 2023 12:15 am It looks like the limit for APNG files to animate is now 2000 frames, instead of 1000. Re: Add animated AVIF support
Any plans on adding this feature soon? The latest Firefox beta just added animated AVIF support, so I'm hoping this feature comes to XnView MP some time in the future.

Re: Search for APNGs
I think it should be a feature, you could find APNG chunks (acTL, fcTL) inside PNG files and report those as APNGs (here's an example of this using bash and pngcheck)

XnView MP freezes when the catalog is auto-updated
These bugs have been occuring on Windows 11 22H2, using XnView MP 1.3.1 x64, with the catalog enabled ( bugs likely also occur when the catalog is off , given enough time is spent for XnView MP to generate a catalog)
Whenever the catalog is updated in any way (moving, creating, renaming, copying or ...

APNGs with >1000 frames do not play
On Windows 11 22H2, using XnView MP 1.3.1
If an animated PNG has over 1000 frames, it will fail to play on XnView MP. This does not occur with GIFs or animated WEBP images. These animated PNGs play correctly on other programs that support the format.
A couple of animated PNGs are attached below.

Re: 0.99.7: 'Lock Zoom' option doesn't preserve position on right and bottom sides of images
Question is why it works on my system but not on yours? Do you perhaps use a Windows (display) scaling other than 100%?
Nah, I've got my scaling at 100%. I did reinstall Windows 11 recently, but this bug occured both before and after reinstalling the OS (I think this bug even happened to me on ...

0.99.7: 'Lock Zoom' option doesn't preserve position on right and bottom sides of images
On XnView MP 0.99.7 (Windows 11 64-bit), setting the 'Lock zoom' option and scrolling between multiple images with the same width and height while on the right and/or bottom sides of the image will cause the position to move slightly.

Re: High quality zoom for animated .GIF files
I installed XnView Classic about a month ago to try it out and noticed that there is an option for high quality zoom on animated GIF files. Why isn't that option available in XnView MP? Was it removed from MP?
