This is the first difference confirmed by you. Maybe it's the start point where XnView selection works not as the Windows Explorer selection.

Yes, if I made the same actions at every machine last action will "select" only last element.
Even if first element is selected.
If I press Right-... (n times) then Home then Shift-End then selection will be starting from the file that was ...

I recorded it to a video.
It makes no difference whether XnView MP is installed directly via setup, as a portable or via winget. On any PC I've installed it on, in any version, there is always this bug (for me - always, from the first version I got acquainted with, and that was a looong time ago)

Yes, 1.8.8 - still an issue, nothing changed (every version every installation every machine)

Favorites to non-existent folders bugs.

1.7.1 64-bit

I've added some dir to favorites some time ago then directory was moved to other location.

1. Open XnView MP
2. Favorites selected, there are this one favorite location
3. Click at it
4. "This favorite ... not exist. Do you reallt want to ...

Now it is cleaning this parameter.
Added something there, saved, started program, exited, checked - record is cleaned. Seems ok.

So waiting with hope for jpegli "from the box"

Can you tell me (in PM?) how to use Guetzli encoder? I installed it from Tools>Plugins and can't find ...

Edit: If you are using XnView MP 64-bit did you install the 64-bit version of the plug-in?

:mrgreen: of course (if XnView MP did not install not x86, but if you read my first post here you can see "guetzli_windows_x86-64.exe". So yes, x64.
There are no options to choose which version to install ...

Now I see that this topic is in "Classic" tree. Didn't mean that when searching for "XnView Guetzli"... :|

I installed it as I described in previous message, from Intsruments/Tools > Plugins... menu.

How to use this plugin?
I've installed it with Tools>Plugins>Plugins>[Install] Guetzli JPEG write support (jpg) → [Installed] Guetzli JPEG write support (jpg). After rebooting XnView it is still [Installed], so guess is Ok.
File was downloaded to XnView\Other\PlugIns\ at user folder as guetzli ...
