Although, I noticed that certain video thumbnails no longer show (although certain other ones do show - inconsistent behavior... same cameraphone):
Preferences → Browser → File List → Custom Filter ...

Thank you, Pierre. See the .ini file below. This is a fairly fresh installation. I believe the only change I made to the defaults is to show thumbnails for video files: Preferences → Browser → File List → Custom Filter tab → Video row → check "Show as Thumbnail" box

I've been lightly using XnViewMP for a few years on my mac... I mean, it's obviously awesome. I'm having a bit of trouble with the filtering. Here's my preferred workflow:

1. In the Browser, I do a rough selection of images I like and tag them with 1 star
2. I filter by all 1 star images ...
