Exactly. The XMP files were created with _Aperture Exporter_

I tried it a million times yesterday (restarted etc) and it didn't work. Now it works!
Album is always stored in database not in the file

XnView ignores existing XMP files and creates duplicate

I am new to XnView and still trying to figure out how things work.

I exported my previous Aperture library with Aperture Exporter and it creates sidecars like this: img_0001.XMP
Now XnView shows those files in the browser next to the images and doesnt show ratings etc. If i make a rating, it ...

I am new to XnView and Albums would definately be a reason to keep using it.

I can create and rename a album but…
a) how do I add images??
b) how is the information stored? Is it _differently_ displayed categories or is it propietary to the library?
