Exactly. The XMP files were created with _Aperture Exporter_xnview wrote: Mon Dec 13, 2021 12:51 pm so you have such sidecar img_0001.XMP, and XnView create img_0001.xmp?

I tried it a million times yesterday (restarted etc) and it didn't work. Now it works!
Ok, thanks for the informationAlbum is always stored in database not in the file

I am new to XnView and Albums would definately be a reason to keep using it.
I can create and rename a album but…
a) how do I add images??
b) how is the information stored? Is it _differently_ displayed categories or is it propietary to the library?
