The latest cameras, shooting at 30 frames a second, identify frames uniquely with milliseconds (other than original name).
Adobe Bridge now provides seconds as XXX and it would be great if XnViewMP did this, too, as it's a far superior product in so many ways.

Yes, it works fine provided you select the files that are not displaying the info before you update the catalog. If not, their info doesn’t display. So long as a user knows that, like me, now, no problems Thanks, Mike

OK, just discovered that, if I select the files that are not displaying the info, then View>Update Catalog from files, they show the info. The ones that are not selected don't show the info. Thanks, Mike

I've just done that and restarted XNview. Still not happening, as shown. Mike

I think one of the many advantages of png (and dng) files is that they contain all the information that any sidecar file holds separately. So, you don't have the responsibility of always ensuring that sidecars are moved when the file is moved with a Finder or ...

Attached are the same files viewed in XN and Bridge. The Date Created and Shot info does not display in XNview. FYI, Mike

OK, the viewer shows the image as rated. The browser with metadata shows the layout I use. I usually hit return or double-click to go into viewer and escape to go back. Hope this helps. Thanks, Mike

I rate in Viewer and switch back to Browser. Not sure what else you mean - can't find any related Preference settings. Quit and Restart makes ratings show in Browser. Thanks, Mike

Hi, Love XnView for culling in Viewer Mode but ratings don't show in Browser Mode until after a quit and restart. A small but annoying bug.
