Yes. It doesn't happen all the time.

XnView crashes out when building thumbnails. I have installed the latest version and it still does the same.

Found it - under Settings, thumbnail, labels.

When a filename is long the file extension does not show. I know that the colour under the thumbnail is different for different file types but this requires memorising which is which. Is there a way of showing the file type in the information below the thumbnail?
