Re: Metadata not saved
Recently noticed Adobe .DNG files were not being updated with XnView MP\Metadata\Edit XMP. Found that 'Tools\Settings\Metadata\Sidecar\Create or update XMP Sidecar' was not checked. Checked and seems to work now.

Thank you for intending to work on editing metadata of HEIF & HEIC files. It would be helpful.

Converting Apple ProRAW to HEIC
I tried to convert several Apple ProRAW files from my iPhone 14 Pro to HEIC which XnView did, but my Adobe Lightroom would not recognize the newly created HEIC files even though it will recognize internally created HEIC files from my iPhone. Could the conversion process from ProRAW to HEIC be ...

Re: Batch rename
Thank you for that. It works!
I'd still be interested in the list of variables that can be used in the {braces}.

Batch rename
When using the Name template, I'm looking for a list of variables that can be used inside the { braces } . Specifically, what I'm looking for is to save a 4-digit number in the original files name to the new file name. Each file has a different number, and they are not necessarily in sequence. E.g ...

Re: Move tabs to new panel?
I just switched computers. Using Win10Pro on both. On the previous one I was able to have Folders & Favorites as separate Panels. On the new PC install they are tabs which I can't seem to get to be Panels. What am I missing?

Re: Rename multiple files
Thanks Rick. That puts me another step closer to XnView. I have used ACDSee for years, but in the last few their confusing marketing & lack of response has me wanting for something better. They have also dropped the multi-file Tiff capability that I use quite often.

Re: Rename files
Thank you for your response. I'll try to make it clearer.
The ACDSee I use has the following rename capabilities:
1.Template
2. Search and Replace.
Does XnView have those two capabilities? Doug

Is it possible to batch rename files using Template and Search & Replace similar to those capabilities in ACDSee? Doug
