Attached is a screenshot of a photo I zoomed in to 1600%. You can tell because it's so pixelated. But when I go back into the Zoom menu, it still has the magnifying glass and * on 100%. Shouldn't it be on 1600%?

Thanks, enabling the ICC profile and setting Zoom to 100% instead of using "real size" fixed both problems.
One other problem I just noticed is that when I right-click on an image in XnView MP, go to Zoom, and set it to anything other than 100%, it will still have the magnifying glass and the ...
