A/B compare: add shortcut to swap images instead of the slider
A/B compare is a great comparison tool, but what would make it even better if instead of a slider you could have an option to press a key, e.g., Shift (customizable in the keyboard config), to quickly change pictures - this makes it easier to spot differences in pictures as it affects the whole ...

But it seems I was wrong about P, just tried it again it a couple of layouts and alpha-keys seem to work fine, so maybe it's only symbols that are special

Shift[ shortcut stored as Shift{, making it unusable
I'd like to use Shift+[, however, in the Interface→Shortcuts when I use this combo, it gets recorded as shifted twice, i.e., as Shift+{ instead of Shift+[
This makes the shortcut unusable as you can't enter the double-shifted Shift+{
The same thing happens with Shift+123..., gets recorded as Shift ...

Re: Re-saving PNG deletes EXIF
Upd: I've learned that the Apple chunk is supposed to disappear per PNG spec, but that still doesn't explain the warning
Just converted a screenshot in the new version and noticed that there is a warning from exiftool, though not sure what it is

Re: Duplicate top menu items
Can confirm it's fixed and not creating any duplicate menus (I see the menu flashing when I close the last file, which I assume is that "refresh" action the prevents duplication)
Thank you!
Thank you!

MacOs: Backup for lossless .jpeg crop is created with a wrong extension .jpg
The bug link below this post originates from is marked as resolved, but there is still one issue remaining: the extension of the created backup file is wrong — it's .jpg, not the original .jpeg
(might even lead to a data loss if two files are only different in extension)

No I haven't, I didn't know it existed, where is this documented?
so from testing this
t{Tag status} | r{Rating} | c{Color label}
((t{Tag status} | ))((r{Rating} | ))((c{Color label}))
get
t[] | r | c
t[] |

Allow using template language in Info panel
You have this awesome UI feature that allows using a template language to customize tooltips in the Browser (as well as thumbnail labels)/info overlay in the Viewer

Template: hide symbols if some tag value is blank
For templates (e.g., for customizing tooltips) I'd like to be able to hide some separators if the values they separate are empty
For example, currently

shows as

when all fields as empty
I'd like to "tie" the "|" symbols to the previous values and ...

Re: Could you also publish macOS beta version?
Nice, thank you, but I meant in general if you could maybe adjust the build/publish workflow to automatically include the mac version as well so that that could also be tested

Could you also publish macOS beta version?
I see that the viewtopic.php?f=108&t=44385 beta version page only has a link to the Windows version.
Would it be possible to also publish the Mac version?
