Are you sure you downloaded the original picture (there's a link on the right side of the page, something like "Download Photo") and not the reduced version? If you right click the picture and choose "Save picture as" you'll download the dynamically resized version, wich has no metadata. You must cl...

I noticed now that in 1.93 the problem seems partly solved: try opening the linked image. The print size is now correctly calculated with a dpi value of 300, but if you switch to "Thumbnails and Details" mode, in the properties column the dpi value shown is 72x72 http://picasaweb.google.com/ilGaspaP...

1.93: Always uses 72 DPI for calculating print size

I noticed that, regardless of dpi set in the picture, xnview always display 72 dpi in browser "Details" and "Thumbnails + Details" view. It also always uses 72 as the DPI value for calculating print size. Opening the image in the viewer and choosing "print size" from the Image menu displays the corr...

Great! :) Thanks ^_^ From what I saw, it seems that each template become a gallery simply by filling the included XML file with the list of the photos, so the process should be something like creating the correct sized images and fill the xml... however I'm not an expert so I don't know if I got it ...

Ok, i think I found the problem: if "Use embedded thumbnail" is not checked, the overlay is never displayed, even for images that have an embedded thumbnail. I never noticed this before O_o I think that the overlay should be shown always if an image has an embedded thumbnail, regardless of the fact ...

I'll send it in a couple of minutes... it's going to be a big mail (2.5MB), I prefer not resizing it and ensure that the metadata remains intact

Please do not remove the makernotes! The great thing about xnview is that it doesn't alter them: these maker fields contains sometimes fundamental informations for photo workflow ^_^ So please, if you choose to do so, at least make it user selectable or give a big, big big warning popup :)
