Settings - General - Check "Show all graphic formats"

Thanks for the reply. I tried your solution, but unfortunately it didn't work for me.

Rick (above) asked if you had added the file type to the configuration. What did he mean by that? I looked thru the Settings menus and didn't find anywhere to add filetypes.

afphoto file types are not displaying as thumbnails for me either - just as Affinity Icons.

I just installed XnView and on looking through my files, I find that there are no thumbnails for aphoto files, just an image of the Affinity Photo Icon. Am I missing some setting? I absolutely need this. This must work as this software was recommended on Affinity site.
