I have tested that the bug fix in XnView MP 1.7.0 works as expected.

I typically delete the catalog after I have done something like rename the folder that the images are in externally to xnView. xnView finds the new folder but retains the entries for the old folders so I get duplicate entries for each of the images. When the catalog gets corrupted, which happens continuously, whether by mistakenly manipulating used categories or externally moving images, I recreate the catalog by deleting the existing one and opening each of the folders containing images in turn. I had not tried using the Special Items folder in the Catalog Filter.

As you suggest 'Special Items > All' does not seem to follow the "Match > current folder" setting and I presume it affects what I was calling the 'image edit selection'.

A common task is to find the images that have not yet been tagged.
