Better in 1.6.3, but incomplete.

It starts with (only 2) identic "Allgemein" in German version:

Allgemein (= correct translation of "General")
Formate (OK)
Allgemein (= unchanged, wrong translation of "Interface" = "Benutzeroberfläche"))

In the new structure of settings all tabs are converted to separate menu items in the list, structured by 10 categories.

But at least in the German translation 6 of this 10 categories are translated as "Allgemein" ("General" = name of the first tab in 5 categories in the old structure) instead of ...

Yes, You are right.
I tried it in image view with no result, and had it overseen afterwards in batch convert. Sorry.

It is only missing in image view.

And it could expand the abilities in editing Black and White graphics (maybe after Desaturate an image) and/or create own masks (Effect => Add mask), to work with transparency.

And in addition to the original suggestion I would add soft edges like the "Hardness ...

It would be great if an "Add Fields" option is added to "Add Text" like in "Caption" in Print dialog or in "QR-Code" in batch convert. (Or like in IrfanView)

Especially in batch convert, Fields could enable automatic inserting of Filename, Creation date or EXIF/IPTC/XMP Metadata as visible Text in ...

I would suggest to mark corner-points by default like in Gimp: So the corner-points are easy to grab from the first moment.

In Image View: Image => Rotate => Automatic Deskew
Needs same options (or included by default, because it's already named "Automatic" :-) like regular (free) Rotate...
*) "auto-crop" ... because manual cropping afterwards is a more painful task (but can be done)
*) "anti-aliasing" ... to deliver ...

It works

Curves is a mighty tool, but to unleash its full power for RGB correction, it needs the histogram as background like in Levels.

Camera sensors are getting more and more pixels. Pixels are getting smaller and smaller. With increased image noise everywhere.
So the reduction of this image noise is now and will also be in the future a very important part of each image workflow.
