Hello, yes that worked fine. It was just telegram. But after installing 1.5.4 through Winget just now it looks like everything is working fine now.
I tested several different images and file formats and it looks like all open in XnViewMP now. So it looks like as if the bug is gone.

As I said, it's every image, not just jpg. It's png, bmp and so on, no image opens from telegram into XnViewMP.
And as I said, other image tools work just fine. And yes, I can open the files in windows explorer just fine as well.

In telegram you can upload images either with compression as "photos", which will get a new filename but retain the format, or you can upload images without compression as "images", which will retain name and format. Telegram doesn't change that.
