Every time I open the export box, it's quite small. The first thing I do is maximise it so I can properly see the pixel details when zoomed in. I do that every time, but I can see some people might more be interested in the file size.
* Can I recommend it have some way of automatically opening ...

Lossless crop / snap to encoding boundaries
When losslessly cropping, the exact pixel is often less important than getting the right ratio of sides, since the whole purpose of cropping is to fit it to some destination task, which may be dominated by pictures having the same shape.

Batch Convert reporting and option enhancements
A common task with batch conversion is reducing images to save space. To do this it would be helpful to have fuller stats of the %, and also minimum percent saved option, as follows -
* % Files Stats - After batch conversion, provide a statistical summary of the individual % filesize values in the ...

Save Dialog : filename droplist [1.9.2 Win11]
I don't know how much it's in your control but -
* I've always found the droplist beside the Filename when saving would more usefully have recent folders saved to by XNView rather than recent files. If a file within it is wanted just typing following a few opening letters of the filename would ...

Batch Convert : levels-change, resulting thumb not changed [1.9.2 W10 64b]
I ran a batch convert where I resized 75% then applied a Levels change (different levels for red and blue; my camera colour setting had got bumped so my pictures had come out rather blue)
Saving as jpeg-li, the settings said to rebuild the thumbnail.
The resulting files when opened were right (their ...

When tabs hit max number, replace oldest etc
When tabs reach their maximum number, currently the most recent is replaced (at least from browser opening)
I think the oldest one should be kicked off not the newest as the most recent ones are usually the ones of interest but to deal with wanting to control this a bit, on right-clicking a tab you ...

Tabs from Browser - newest to the left not the right
When opening a tab from the browser I think it is ideal if the new tab is opened leftmost, beside the browser, shunting the existing ones rightwards, rather than a long way from the browser on the right.
If there's people who like the existing arrangement perhaps there could be an option to control ...

Re: Easier Opening/Closing of Tabs
Thanks, it seems you encountered the same problem with the browser.
Your solution is a help, so I've set it to 2. However it's not quite ideal, which I think (myself) is probably something on the lines of what I outlined, which doesn't impact anything existing, unless a better methodology is ...

Curve Presets not saving properly? [1.9.2 W10 64b]
For Image - Adjust - Curves
when I adjust Red and Blue and save as preset, if I subsequently open the saved preset it doesn't restore the levels I used.
1.9.2 W10 64b
Let me know if any issues reproducing.

Easier Opening/Closing of Tabs
When opening images from the browser, you can end up opening numerous images and you have to get them closed. The following would be variously useful (apologies if there are ways that these can already be done) -
* Ctrl-Double-Click the picture that doesn't simply switch to the browser (as double ...

Re: Confirm if drag too many files in / escape to interrupt...
Just to improve on this suggestion, in dragging more than in a certain number of files, XNView asks to confirm, but also provide the option to open them in the batch converter or as a filelist.
So for example if you drag 200 files onto XNView, it pops up and some people may choose to cancel the ...

Re: Batch Convert improvements : Resume (or Pause); Background conversion; right-click items
Just to add to this, one of the reasons for being able to slow the batch conversion option is that if you are running one in a hot/humid climate a laptop may overheat and suddenly switch off, especially if it is charging (often a generic battery in many people's cases) whilst running the conversion ...

Folder creation issues
Normally you hit F7 and type and it makes the folder of that name. But if you have a filter, eg jpg, then F7 doesn't show the new folder it just appears at the side unfocused, so when you type the name it is not named. You actually have to click to the side to name it (and that enters it so you lose ...

Re: 1.8.8 - Filelist sort order not reflected in browser
So if there's a problem with using *, some other symbol indicating heading options is fine. I'm conscious that # is a permissable filename character (though admittedly not as the first character of a full path but if relative names become usable, such as relative to the chosen filelist path, it ...
