Thank you, that did in fact solve the issue.
The wording of "Do you want to check for affected entries first" is very vague and non-descriptive to me.

In previous versions of the software clicking "No" had caused me other issues and I had misunderstood its meaning.
What I interpreted it as meaning ...

EDIT: Replicated with a blank Portable version, only modified settings a bit to make sure sidecar files are being generated. HOWEVER was able to replicate with DEFAULT settings after this as well!

Go to Settings > File list

Configure these two settings to your liking:
- New files are added at the end of the list
- Auto-select new files

I can confirm this remains an issue in 1.9.5!

Sometimes: clicking on a video file will play it in the background (audible) even when there is no preview window.
This additionally causes a conflict with the file still being in-use at a time the program doesn't expect and is not unlocking the file ...

After further using 1.9.4, the main issue of not being able to move or delete the selected video returned, as well as hearing a "phantom" instance of the video even with no preview window visible.
I do not know which action caused the issue to return. I was able to clear the issues by restarting the ...

I was testing my issues on version 1.9.3 and it seems to have been fixed at some point?
Sidecar files appear to be moved/deleted when acted on when viewing search & filter results.

I have been organizing/tagging a lot of video files through XNView lately, and I've really felt the lack of the ability to sort, filter, etc based on this kind of metadata. So I'd also love to see these added.
