So is there any update to the bug yet?

I converted the 'XnView Original.png' with GIMP into 'XnView Original 24bit.bmp'. Opening this bmp image then in XnView does show it correctly.

About that downgrade, and yes I already wrote about how Windows Photo/Pictureflect display clearer.

Only the 'None' filtering method looks different, but worse than all of them. The other methods look the same compared to each other. 'Sharpen' doesn't do anything.
The monitor got a default 100% scaling in Windows (1080x1920) and a second device with just default settings connected to the monitor ...

This was the setting I used, but it doesn't affect either way even when I choose another one like none, bilinear etc. The sharpening setting doesn't seem to have an effect either - after changing a setting I also close XnView and start again to be sure it applies.
