I have some folder with 32k files
But its not big - only 3gb

If I open that folder - xnview will eat all my 32gb ram and will start to swap

Reason that it wanna show all images I guess?

It will be nice idea to disable images while indexing some folders.. Or maybe to enable RAM limit

is it possible at all to create plugin that can sort folder by size\file count?

it will be grate if we can assign key for open folder in explorer...

"Show files in subfolders" should retain its state:
session-wise
new tab opens with default OFF and retains manually changed state until closed

OR
persistent
state is saved after restarting the app until it is changed manually (like in CaptureOne)

xnview is not very fast even with Samsung ssd and i5 13600...

well, i am already start to write own app for subfolder photos ..

I don’t understand why image app developers are afraid to give rights to view subfolders - probably they think RAM wasted to it will be used for dev dollars....no idea

i have about 2k folders with with less then 1k photo in each with DEEP folder structure and no chance to change it

if i will see subfolder photos when scrolling them - it will be like a MIRACLE...but - xnview mp - i should click like 'Show all file in subfolders' on EACH folder i need... other ...

it will be very nice to save quick filter text after folder change...

Sort by file count - well, windows explorer can do it
