Maybe after the user selected "most often" formats, include a radio button: "show chosen formats on top of the list"/"show only chosen formats".
• Actually, my idea was to not use the list at all ! Indeed this needs a special command for “Save As (Common)…” with the ...

• Yes sorry, you are wrong : Only XnView MP (in beta stage still) supports Unicode, XnView “Classic” (1.9x…) doesn't.
