Crop tool doesn't offer anything by default anymore. It remembers ratio you set once and don't reset it to free each time you reopen it. This is good behavior. So if you set it to free, it will be free until you change it.

There's a need of AVIF ico and possibly many more, even PDF can be opened by XnView now.

This is really strange. But Crop doesn't work directly only if you select square selection with Shift. If you just select free form - it cuts. Can you try? :?

Also there's some glitch - if you still pressing shift and release the mouse button - there's an empty leftover at place of size tooltip ...

Tested on two machines. Removed settings. Tried portable. The problem persists.

XnView had batch converter for years. Generally, if it could be called stand-alone without main app, XnConvert could become redundant. But I personally keep XnConvert always open, while open XnView only while I work with image.

You fixed one thing and broke another. Previously, if you clicked Crop button it would crop to the current selection instead of going into crop mode, now the selection just resets. It would be great if you could fix this back.
