1.7.2 batch rename using exif data in template fails on companion files

When doing a batch-rename of a file that has a companion file. If the rename template relies on EXIF data, that section is ignored for the companion file.

I have tried numerous approaches and all have failed:
1. including companion files in the list of batch files
