Sorry for my late reply, in the meantime I had found that setting myself and was happy to have the same behaviour for selecting a frame as in the classic version back. :) I think it should be mentioned in the thread about the differences between the versions , or maybe I have overlooked it. Select and cut with mouse
How do I select a part of the picture that I want to cut out now? Simple left-click and dragging a frame around the part I want to keep with the mouse does not work for me anymore compared to XnView Classic. Sorry if this has been asked before, and I'm on Windows 7 64bit using the latest v0.72 x64 ...

It's the same for me: no thumbnail preview for MP4 files, but they play in XnView using ffdshow codecs and Haali Media Splitter. Furthermore you cannot extract single frames or create a thumbnail gallery from them either.

I have the same problem with a FLV file containing a MPEG-4 AVC video track and an AAC audio track. I can watch that video with XnView which uses ffdshow to show it. I can also create a thumbnail gallery from it showing 16 different frames, so there must be a bug somewhere with the option to extract ...

It seems that this problem ("GS can't be found" when trying to open PDF files) still exists with the latest GS version 8.54 from a new PDFCreator v0.9.3 which I installed today. I use the latest XnView v1.90.3 on a Windows 98 SE system, and the Ghostscript installation directory is correctly listed ...
