Any chance this could be implemented? Displaying Illustrator .ai file thumbnail with embedded thumbnail image already available in the XMP tag.
Thanks.

Re: Viewer - navigator - add highlight
Good suggestion, I personally would prefer Lightroom's implementation, neutral and less obtrusive without dimming down the rest of the image.

Mouse click drag threshold needed for better intuitivity
Mouse click drag threshold is needed for a more intuitive click and click-drag interaction.

Found it, that "Browser/Viewer" combo dropdown in the Shortcuts page really got me. Thanks for pointing it out again.

Re: Configurable keyboard shortcuts needed for 'Fit image to desktop' and 'Fit window to image'
What do you mean they are already there? I've looked through the mappable key list in Tools > Settings > Interface > shortcuts page, search for 'fit', there are no 'Fit image to desktop' and 'Fit window to image' command in the user mappable shortcut key list.

Configurable keyboard shortcuts needed for 'Fit image to desktop' and 'Fit window to image'
Would be great if customizable keyboard shortcut is added for 'Fit image to desktop' and 'Fit window to image', the other image fitting modes are already in configurable keyboard shortcuts, just missing these 2 fitting that I find myself using all the time.

Re: 1.8.0 - Browser status bar 'properties' not shown when new image is created externally and auto selected
png or pretty much any formats that I've tested.
Just a note that you need to do the file creation/duplication externally outside of XnView, in Windows file explorer to reproduce the bug.
Also note that it is the (image resolution) of the new file that is not shown in the status bar.
