aomenc-av1 is far too slow and SvtAv1Enc is much more efficient.
I'm using "full build" ffmpeg with libSvtAv1 to output avif.
Hope one day we can use this much faster encoder on XnConvert as an option.

There is a limit on the size of outputing a WebP image. The maximum width and height are 16838: https://developers.google.com/speed/webp/faq#what_is_the_maximum_size_a_webp_image_can_be.
