I like very much the possibility to mix images and short videos within a slide show. Unfortunately at the beginning and the end of any video clip the monitor becomes black for several tenths of a second, which is rather disturbing.

I like to suggest the option to adjust the slide show cross-fading speed for instance by a parameter to be set in Tools/Options/View/Misc./Slide Show/Cross-fading time (ms). I myself for instance would prefer approximately a 1.5 to 2 times higher speed.

XnView v1.9X displays the image perfectly correct. Is the Use transparent index (<=8bits) or alpha channel setting ( Tools » Options... » View » View ) turned off in your installation, robotriot?

I forgot one step in the description how to solved the problem: In Windows explorer you have to make a right mouse click on a JPG file, then "Properties"(!) > "Photoshop image" > "Create thumbs" (or "icons"?) > disable.

According to the online Help the Esc key should stop thumb creation. This seems not to work even for version 1.91: I can not change to an other folder during thumb creation even after pressing Esc. Is this a bug or my special problem?
