I can't reproduce on HiDPI screen with scaling of 125%, do you have same problem with 'High zoom quality' => 'Zoom in&Zoom out' + bilinear?
The problem is only viewing at 99%?
And if you use 100% for font scaling?
Do you have same problem with 0.98.1?

Do you use the HEIC Plugin from Microsoft App Store or the XnView's plugin? I have the same problem. I tested with 0.94.3 using MS HEIC plugin, and 0.98.2 using XnView's plugin. A workaround is to use 'Search'
