HI All
There's been a steady stream of requests over the years to have the ability to display the focus point selected by the camera as an overlay on an image. (See, for example https://forum.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=35841 by @trezilla, https://forum.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=33470 by @cyberia ...

Include Filename in Fullscreen Window Title
Hi Pierre,
I'm developing a small utility to show the focus point of an image as an overlay on the XnView FullScreen view, to help perform initial rating and filtering on a group of images.
I've got this working fine with XnView Classic, because the Fullscreen window has a title like "Xn <myfile ...

Focus Point Display
A lot of cameras (e.g. Canon R series, all newer Panasonic models) store the selected focus point information with the image, and can display it on the EVF when your are reviewing shots.

Re: Focus Point Display
Thanks, Pierre.
I've added it as a suggested feature.
Is there any sort of a "hook" that fires (e.g. a way to call an external program or plugin) when the active file in fullscreen mode changes? If so I could build a "watcher" that overlays the focus point separately. Is there any way to do this?

Focus Point Display
Hi,
Is there any way to overlay the focus point for an image when it's being viewed full-screen. For my Panasonic cameras ExifTool reports a value called "AF Point Position" which is the X,Y coordinates of the primary focus point (e.g. "0.47 0.77"). It would be relatively easy to display a little ...

Re: Panasonic G9ii RAWs Display as "static"
Thanks, so the work-around is to set the RAW display to "Embedded". That works in both versions.
Will you at some stage add support for the new file format?

Re: Panasonic G9ii RAWs Display as "static"
Hi,
I've uploaded two test files:
https://www.andrewj.com/public/231107_G9ii_1000144.RW2 is a standard RAW file
https://www.andrewj.com/public/231109_G9ii_1000173.RW2 is a larger "High Resolution" file
Thanks
Andrew

OK, it's a 25MP RAW, so about 35MB compressed.
I'll upload and provide a link

Panasonic G9ii RAWs Display as "static"
Hi,
Just got my new Panasonic G9ii.
In XnView they display OK as thumbnails, but as a random "static" pattern when selected.
In XnViewMP they display as static in both cases.
I can supply a sample, but the .RW2 extension is blocked. What should I change it to?
Thanks
Andrew

Re: Companion File Handing in MP?
Hi Pierre,
I do use "show companions". If I turn it off, the .xmp files are hidden, but not the .JPG files. I don't know if it's significant, but I've noticed that the .RW2 and .JPG are uppercase, but .xmp is lowercase. It shouldn't make a difference under Windows, but I don't know about your code ...

Re: Companion File Handing in MP?
No. I tried renaming a .ARW to .CR2, but it didn't work. I also tried making sure that all files have lowercase extensions, but that doesn't make any difference.

Re: Companion File Handing in MP?
Hi Pierre,
Thanks. I have installed beta 4. That solves the context menu issue, but I still can't drag/drop to copy/move, but if I do a cut and paste it works OK.
Is there anything else I can check?

Re: Companion File Handing in MP?
That may be the problem. I followed the link in your post to the beta page viewtopic.php?f=108&t=37553, but that seems to be for Beta 1. How do I find the latest beta?

Re: Companion File Handing in MP?
Hi Pierre,
Definitely no context menu for me. I have tried both left and right clicking in both columns...
I show companion files - I run with all three boxes checked.
