XNView does NOT run on Intel based systems. Is iMac Intel?? (my MB is Intel based and I've seen the same there). I have to apologize. XNView DOES run in Intel based systems. At least on my MB. You have to install X11 and start this before you start XNView. There is however a problem with the colour...

I do not know how I can tell these versions apart. The version that I have is one that I've downloaded from xnview.com some time ago and I have the MB since 26th of oct. Therefore I'm not so familiar with the tools and features of MacOS. If I remember correctly the version is something like 1.70??....
