Printing multiple images

Hello, I hope it fits to this thread: Compared to XnView Classic, the printed thumbnails are smaller in MP, though the configured margins seem to be identical. See the screenshot. Can I do something to increase image size? And is there a possibility to de-activate auto-rotation? In some situations i...

From Classic to MP - old-loved convenience

Hello, I just switched from XnView Classic to MP. Especially "Import and sort" is a great feature, thank you! :-) There are two minor, but convenient features I really liked in "Classic" and miss them somehow in MP 1. The function "Send by email" now seems only to be in the "Tools" menu of the brows...

Re: About HiDPI support

At the moment, neither XnView nor MP are scaling their icons. As a workaround, you can do this yourself: http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=13652&p=126052&hilit=hidpi#p126052 http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=29080 http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=29649 T...

Re: Size of Overlay Icons

Great, thank you, that would help! In the long run, I think, vector-based icons might be needed. As XnTriq wrote, many programs now tend to use vector graphics, e.g. with SVG. Looking to the available 4K-UHD displays, which will become cheaper and more popular, this will be more flexible than bitmap...

Re: Windows scaling icons

Oh, I know that in computer science, a "map" shows a relation between elements - one-to-one, or one to many.
But I have used it so far only for discrete elements, and not for factors of projection.
But all right, I'm no native speaker - and I'm no GUI programmer. ;-)

Re: Toolbar skins

Ah, better! And I also made a mistake with resizing.
Thank you, this helps for now.
But not a solution for the average user. ;-)

Re: Toolbar skins

Hello XnTriq ... BTW: nice user-name :-)

I followed your instructions. 200%, same path and filenames.
In the Options, I'm offered the Mezich 200, but only the name - no icons visible.
If I activate it, it looks like the screenshot I attached.

Re: Toolbar skins

Hello, does anybody have a toolbar skin with *larger* icons?

Currently, the icons aren't scaled up - at least with Windows 7 - and can get quite small on high resolution screens.

Re: Windows scaling icons

Oh, what a pity. I suppose, it's the same with your new XnViewMP? Then my father will get some problems with using XnView on his new 1920*1080 notebooks... the trend goes to higher resolution screens, 4K on the desktop. Strange, I thought that scaling would be managed directly by Windows for all app...

Re: Windows scaling icons

Hello Pierre, usually, the icons are simply scaled up. In some programs, where they are a) vector graphics, they are enlarged better, but in many other programs, the b) bitmap-icons are simply scaled up - even if the look less "sharp" or clear. Kind of interpolated. Is there any way to activate b) ?

Windows scaling icons

Hello. In Windows, at least Vista and newer, you have the display option to enlarge fonts and icons. Options include 125% and 150%. http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/windows-and-office/get-a-better-view-in-windows-7-by-adjusting-dpi-scaling/ This is quite helpful for high-resolution screens, especial...

Re: Reset EXIF & Rotate

Yes, I think so - right, Pierre?

This option would be used for example if orientation value of the camera's vertical sensor is wrong, isn't it?
(The alternative would be to rotate the image itself without adapting the EXIF orientation value.)
