Use RAISR or SRCNN for image resize for viewing

The current "high quality" rescaler also makes the images a bit blurry when scaling down by just 10%. Question is: Which algorithm is used anyway? Bicubi? Bilinear? Lanczos? What about the google RAISR algorithm at https://research.googleblog.com/2016/11/enhance-raisr-sharp-images-with-machine.html ...

Will you include Leptpon encoder/decoder? AKA "Dropbox jpeg"

Well, dropbox released their "save average of 22% on .jpeg with bit-exact correct result upon decoding" https://blogs.dropbox.com/tech/2016/07/ ... -at-15mbs/ https://github.com/dropbox/lepton XnViewMP would be the best place to integrate it for a mass-recode job, I cannot imagine any other program ...

Re: 0.78MP [Win]: Drag and drop photos copies instead of mov

Confirmed, me the same problem. Always copy, no move. Icons changes when pressing ctrl druring dragging, but still only copies. That is your fault, because CTRL forces copy, try with explorer. SHIFT forces move, ALT forces creating a shortcut. Using SHIFT as modifier xnview 0.78 does move the pictu...

XnViewMP 0.78 weird zoom look

Very simple: Open pic, zoom to, for example 283%, be surprised. It happens at all zoom, but 283% (or more) shows it very nicely.

Re: View Filter (Example: Auto contrast) possible?

You can Use gamma correction ( T ools » Settings... » View » View ). Thank you for your reply. But a fixed gamma correct is not the same. I have quite a number of files which were scanned and saved, but where not handled with the right contrast during scanning/saving. That makes them harder to read...

View Filter (Example: Auto contrast) possible?

Is it possible to apply a filter from convert to the viewer? Specifically: The Auto-Contrast filter? I don't want the change the originals, so applying a filter on the fly while viewing only would be great, and maybe it is already possible via .ini hack or something like that. Color correction would...

Re: Move files doesn't work

I use SHIFT drag-n-drop to move in xnviewmp.

The standard for Windows (and win-applications) are:
CTRL: force copy, SHIFT force move, ALT is special, in explorer it enforces creating a link.

Re: XnView Database- and blurred thumbnails questions

Just saw the thread.. I LOVE the fixed database thumbnail size, being unlinked to the thumbnail size on screen. It saves the database rebuild every time I resize the thumbnail, which I do often. Two "But"s: The default thumbnail size should be much larger with high compression, like 480x360. The thu...

Disable html render in viewer (not browser) - How?

I ran through my pictures, full screen, mouse scroll for next picture. Then a .html file comes up. XnViewMP loads it and starts rendering with a few .js scrippt errors. Now, the .js script errors are not the problem, they are expected from a wget download. But how can I disable that xnview even tryi...

XnviewMP 0.61 x64 - giant .jpg fail, worked before....

I have quite a bunch of huge ludicrous oversized panoramas from Skyrim and Fallout 3. Those which are problematic have in common: > 30'000 pixels wide, around 50'000 to 55'000 When double-clicking the file to open with xnview it will crash. 0.39 0.51 0.53 crash too. Gimp 64 bit can open them. I reme...

Re: 0.53: Thumbnailing issue

2 issues emerged after updating from 0.51 to 0.53: 1. Xnviewmp loses all thumbnails and starts to buil the from the scratch although the thumbnails exist in the database. I know that happens when some program accesses the folder. Happens here (as example) when: Fraps is still running, although no s...

XnviewMP 0.53 batch convert watermarking bug

The script says "watermark, lower left", especially see size="0" option: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><XnView_script version="1.0" name="Logo+jpg"> <Watermark filename="D:/jou gmx.net wb.png" opacity="15" no_alpha="false" position="6" delta_x="0" delta_y="0" size="0"/> <Output folder="" fil...

0.51 batch convert - A small displaying bug "%n second(s)"

batch convert some pictures, fraps .bmp screenshot series with more than 10000 pictures.

The conversion works fine, but if the real time passes the estimated time on the left you get what is attached.
A few minutes later it looks normal again.

How can I move a post if I accidentally put it in the wrong board? Should be XnviewMP bug reports.
