Re: When the Favourite is non-existent

Oops, the favorites pane ... to be honest I hadn't even noticed it exists! Here it works. Now the only thing I can't get to work is manual sorting. It seems they are always just added at the bottom? Although last time I tried I thought they get sorted alphabetically. Anyway I would like to drag and ...

Re: When the Favourite is non-existent

In 0.88 I just stumbled over this bug. There seems to be a regression. I can even test it from within XnView MP: Create folder,, fill it with pictures bookmark folder select a different folder use bookmark -> works rename this folder select a different folder use bookmark -> nothing happens By the w...

Re: Transfer category

Unfortunately not. But as I know now that it is an sql database I know at least what I would have to investigate.

Re: Transfer category

I would like to transfer the settings (categories etc.) from a machine with WinXP to one with Win7. So the structure of the path to the images has changed and just copying the file is no use. Is there another way to manage this transfer? Is there a way to edit the db file?

Re: Updating Metadata, updating files

Files newly created in the current directory that XnViewMP is displaying in it's browser don't display, not even when I hit refresh (F5) manually. Only after changing directories back and forth I can see them. On windows? Oh, yes, I should have mentioned. XP SP2. XnViewMP doesn't display changed me...

Re: Move files doesn't work

Wow, thanks, I didn't know that (except ctrl). Though I believed I knew such stuff pretty well. I always used drag'n'drop with right mouse button and then select "move" for force moving. And this is what doesn't work in XnViewMP.

Move files doesn't work

concerns MP 0.60.

XnViewMP annoyingly can't move files via drag'n'drop (neither with nor without Ctrl), it always copies. I know this is already in the missing features topic, but I consider this a bug.

Calling external programs sometimes fails

concerns XnView MP 0.60 and XnView.

Both Versions sometimes display the behaviour that calling external programs using Alt+<n> stopps working during the session. Works again only after program restart.

Reading metadata of DNG files

concerns MP 0.60. I tag my DNG files from my Pentax K-x using GeoSetter 3.4.34.2144. (Because I like to have the originals tagged and XnView can't do that yet.) When I open the DNGs in Photoshop CS2 (Camera Raw) and convert them to jpgs, they get updated by Photoshop to contain the conversion parame...

Thumbnail size to fit screen/scrolling sreenwise

Hello, there is a feature that I find particularly nice about XnView, that's very large thumbnails. I usually use 384x288 or more (on my 1400x1050 screen). When scrolling through a folder I would find one modification very helpful: 1. Have a slider for thumbnail size in the options dialogue like now...

Re: Improve Tag function

pic_viewer wrote: - Tags should not get lost when changing to a different directory. They should at least survive the current session.
Yes, at least!
Actually the fact that tags don't persist through changes of folders renders the whole feature useless to me.
