As a photographer, it would be handy for XnView to support the Nikon MakerNote EXIF field - Nikon cameras store ISO and other attributes in the MakerNote, despite standard fields being available for them to use. Here is a little more information:

a generic FTP or HTTP POST uploader would be very much appreciated. this is non-trivial, though. (unless MS has made hooks for their graphical FTP interface from IE?)

Shell extension dies horribly when corrupted/malformed JPEGs are right-clicked, which makes it a little annoying to delete them.

On a loosely related note - having context menu for the folder tree would be very nice.

edit: oops, there's already a thread about that.

Can also confirm occasional freezing/hanging in folders with large (more than a few thousand) JPEGs. Seems to occur primarily when changing between images in View mode, although I think it's also occurred just while rendering thumbnails.

XnView is intended for working with raster graphic files, that is image files which consist of pixels. Apart from this, XnView also supports some vector formats using GhostScript, e.g.:

- AI (Adobe Illustrator, not all subformats)
- PDF
- EPS
- PS
