Re: Missing thumbnails for .m2ts files

No. Indeed when I reinstall 2.04 it produces no .m2ts thumbnails any more.
It indicates perhaps that something has changed on my computer. (E.g. I always keep it up-to-date from Windows update).
But what?
Where should I start looking?

Another strange thing: I have folder with several .mov files. A ...

Re: Missing thumbnails for .m2ts files

No, not to my knowledge anyway.
Is there a particular codec that is missing and that I should look for?
Anyway, when I click on the missing thumbnail in the browser pane, the .m2ts file is played OK. So there must be some codec somewhere.

I also notice that Windows Explorer does produce thumbnails ...

Missing thumbnails for .m2ts files

Hi,
When I used XnView v2.04 earlier this automn, thumbnails would be generated for HD video files with the .m2ts extension.
However, after installing v2.05 last month, those thumbnails are not generated any more. Same is now the case with
my newly installed v2.13.
For .mpg and HD .wmv files ...

Problem positioning the 'Adjust Brightness...' window

Hi,
I'm running a computer with two displays each of which has a separate graphics card. Display 1 is driven by ASUS EN8600GT and is designated as the main display.
Display 2 is driven by ASUS ENGT240. OS is Win7 SP1. I'm using the most recent NVIDIA drivers, nv285.62_win7_64bit.
When I open a ...

Multimonitor support needs improvement

Hi,
XnView has an option to 'Use fullscreen on second monitor for previewing', which I find most useful when working on a multimonitor computer.
However, when using more than two monitors, it really becomes necessity to be able to specify exactly which second monitor should be designated for ...

Re: Slide show text not working

HI,
I am facing the same problem.
The 'Creating File Show' function is very useful for me and I use it quite a lot. I have used it to create a video file e.g. .wmv, from several hundred pictures,
and it works just great.
However, it would have been even more useful if it were possible to add ...

Thumbnails not generated for .m2ts files

I'm running XnView v1.97.8 on Win7 64bit. XnView does not generate thumbnails in the browser pane for AVCHD video files, i.e. file extension .m2ts.
Previewing the file runs OK.
For other kinds of video files thumbnails are generated OK.

What is the problem?

Pasted image should rubberband

XnView has a nice feature by which one can mark a rectangular piece of a picture, cut or copy the piece to the clipboard, then mark another rectangular area of any size, and then paste the piece into that area. The pasted image will be stretched or compressed so as to fit exactly into the new area ...

Remember Position of Adjust Pane

Hi,
I am using XnView a lot to scan, edit and manage old photos. With most photos I have to edit the output from the scanner to improve e.g. brightness, contrast and color. For this I use the Adjust pane a lot, i.e. the one you get with <Shift>+E in Viewer Mode.
Using Adjust this way implies a lot ...

Hi,
Try installing the K-Lite Codec Pack Standard which can be downloaded from e.g. here:

Re: Video should not play when selected in browser

Funny thing. It did not work either, so I investigated more.

I found that I also had enabled Preview > Use fullscreen on second monitor for previewing
then apparently, a video will always play when selected, disregarding the the other options.
When I turn off Fullscreen on second monitor and also ...

Wrong font size when adding text to image

I want to add text to some of my pictures that have been scanned with high resolution, typically 15-20 megapixels, but the text becomes so tiny that it is nearly invisible. I need to zoom in by e.g. a factor of 10 in order to see it.

The problem, it seems, is that the text font is set in a fixed ...
