Here's an idea to improve this two features...
With the 'web page' option, we must choose a number of X images and a dimension for each thumbnail ( Height * Width )

Amelioration of 'file listing' feature
Hello Pierre,
The feature of 'file listing' is now powerfull but I think a new option can be helpfull.
Using a FlashObject in a Web Page ( object whichs display photos & thumbnails ) needs an XML configuration file structured like follow:
Header-File
Header-Photo+ filename-of-the-photo1.jpg ...

I have the same bug using XNview 1.96.1 under Windows 7 RC x32 French running into Virtual-PC 2007.
I test this strange bug with XNView MP v0.12 and all is OK: there's no problem with 'rename folder' or 'F2' function key...
I think also it come from the RC version because I found another strange ...

It's a strange bug.
Indeed, in the option box 'extract an image from am ovie', the correct frame is displayed when I change the cursor position.
So, I just imagine that the extracted frame in a image will be correct too...

I have a film 'week-end.wmv' made with some REIMS friends the 8 may 2009.
I play it in the XNVIEW integrated video-player and it works fine.
After this, I want to extract an image of this film so I try to made a screen capture of this film with three different manipulations:

I try to work with a film 'week-end.wmv' made with some REIMS friends the 8 may 2009.
This film - coded in 720*480 pixel - is a video with 2'04'' length.
I place the cursor in different places to extract one image each time.

Wrong size in 'extract an image from a film'
I try to work with a film 'week-end.wmv' made with some REIMS friends the 8 may 2009.
This film as a size of 61.1 Gb on my hard-disk ( exactely 64 094 169 bytes ).
When I use the fonction 'extract an image from a video', the dialog box tells me that the film's size is 1.40 Gb non compressed.

Une petite idée qui permettrait d'enrichir un peu plus ce formidable outil gratuit.
Afin de montrer un résumé en images d'un film de camescope, j'aurai souhaité en extraire quelques images représentatives.
Je suis allé dans le menu 'outils ... extraire des images d'un fichier vidéo' mais ...

I'm a little ( very litttle ) bit disapointed why the the traitment of the selected bitmap.
If I answer to XNV to display 'Thumnail & details' with size '192 x 144',
if the screen area for this list of thumbnails is inferior to this height choosen
(iex: I resize this area with my mouse to 165 ...

In some case, there's a bizzare display of thumbnails and their détails.
MY OPTIONS CHOOSEN:
Choose the option Thumbnails+Détails in the browner.
